OMG!  Lemme just tell you, I'd only been "collecting" these darlings for a few weeks and I was already ALL OVER this restoration business.  Now, of course I'm a novice, but with help from various websites (check out my links page) I feel like a pro! *and i'm getting better ;)

              FRESH OUT OF THE TUB

I must be honest--when I first received the blonde top-knot I was a bit disappointed.  There were some "details" left out of her description, and I really hadn't asked any specific questions either.
I almost gave her to my 2 year old!  But then I decided to wash her up and see what I could do.

After
I washed her body, cream-rinsed her hair, retouched her god-awful makeup (try nail polish lipstick in pale pink! ugh), and OMG--look how she turned out.  I'm sorry, but I'm soooo impressed!

Same process. I had to redo all the makeup, it was very faded.  PLUS had to stitch a seem on this one.

This AA girl was in already in pretty good condition. Her hair-part was flawless. She had her lips and eyelashes painted on which HAD to be fixed. Luckily, with some elbow grease, I was able to remove it.

This Canadian boy was a real Pigpen when I got him. I always get so nervous when I see all the marks. But they all washed out, along with the forehead sag.

A US girl in MINT, unplayed with condition and all original purple pinny outfit including booklet.
The only work I had to do was cream-rinse her hair and touch up the makeup... Not much of a restoration at all!

The Taiwan's brother, also a little dirtbag.

After a bath and slight makeup...

This US Pony Girl was in very good condition. She smelled musty, so I washed her and retouched her makeup.

One of my favorite restorations. A Euro Redhead w/ a haircut--paid only $90 (hey, that's pretty good LOL).

She was REALLY grubby, especially her face. Needed bathed and depilled.

And her face was mushed in some, too.

TAIWAN WAIF
She has a really sweet face, but has eye damage, paint loss, and possibly a haircut

EURO RINGLET PONY
Another pretty face with lots of problems: hair cuts, neck repair, holes and open seams, puffy hair.

                   I'm TOTALLY IN-LUV !!!
               She's a natural (well, touched-up)
beauty, and now one of my favorites!

              Makayla

She turned out so nicely, I really didn't want to give her up.

She's a lovely girl.
Those aren't splotches or discolorations on her face, it can be difficult to take even pictures of the AA's skin.

What a handsome little guy.

Okay, so the ebay pic of this girl was so beautiful. But when I got her she was very grubby and pilly.

I ALWAYS get nervous at this point. I know, the pic doesn't look so bad, but they never do with these beauties.

Now look, WOW!

This little Taiwan girl had a pretty dirty face.
           Voila! Wash, hairdo, makeup...

This cutie had a serious haircut to her fringe and also to the length of her hair.

Also some prior "seamwork"...not too bad though.

After a wash and depill.
She has beautiful original makeup.

After a little makeover...

A heater softened the face which automatically popped the nose back out on this one. Her makeup is original, her eyes are great.

Even her haircut is great--a cute little bob.

She really displays well, it's a shame about her faults.
